This project documents the weird moment we’re in; where bright, hyper-designed disposable vapes are everywhere, littering the streets and quietly saying a lot about the way we live.I’ve been collecting and scanning the vapes I find, treating them less like rubbish and more like strange cultural artefacts. Because that’s what they are: quick-hit products designed to be used once, dropped, forgotten. But when you look at them closely - the names, the colours, the words - they start to say a lot more.
This isn’t about shaming anyone for vaping. It’s about noticing what these objects are really doing, and what they represent.
I’m exploring:
• How branding can emotionally manipulate us
• How disposability is built directly into product design
• How nice aesthetics can distract from toxic reality
• How something can be everywhere but still feel kind of empty
I’m not offering a solution.
I’m just paying attention.
